The current IndoSurgicals listing is a 175 mL valved holding chamber supplied with mask-size options. A spacer separates inhaler actuation from inhalation and can make pressurized metered-dose inhaler (pMDI) technique easier when used correctly with a compatible inhaler.
The chamber is a medication-delivery aid, not a medicine or a diagnostic device. Delivered aerosol depends on the inhaler, chamber, mask seal, timing and breathing technique, so product fit and current instructions matter.
The chamber holds aerosol briefly after a compatible pMDI is actuated, reducing the need to coordinate the exact moment of inhaler actuation with the start of inhalation.
A poor mask seal, long delay after actuation or unsuitable breathing technique can reduce aerosol delivery. Fit the mask and use the chamber according to the current product and inhaler instructions.
The current product is published for single-patient use. Disassemble, clean, dry and reassemble the chamber and mask only according to the current supplied instructions. Do not assume boiling, autoclaving, dishwasher cleaning or a particular disinfectant is permitted unless the applicable IFU states it.
