Mechanical ICU Hospital Bed • SKU 10005

ICU Bed Mechanical with ABS Panel and Safety Rails

Multi-position mechanical ICU bed with backrest, knee-rest, Trendelenburg, Reverse Trendelenburg and Hi-Lo adjustment , a four-section perforated M.S. platform, ABS moulded head and foot panels, collapsible safety rails, telescopic IV rod and 125 mm castors for intensive-care and critical-care environments.

Multi-Position Mechanical ICU Bed for Critical-Care Use

The IndoSurgicals ICU Bed Mechanical with ABS Panel and Safety Rails is designed for healthcare facilities that require several patient-positioning functions while retaining a mechanically operated bed configuration.

Separate screw mechanisms operated from the foot end control the bed's published backrest, knee-rest, Trendelenburg, Reverse Trendelenburg and Hi-Lo functions . This allows multiple bed positions to be achieved without electrically powered actuators.

ABS moulded head and foot panels, collapsible or swing-away safety rails, four IV-rod provision locations and castor-mounted mobility add practical features for intensive-care, high-dependency and other appropriate hospital environments.

What Type of ICU Bed is SKU 10005?

SKU 10005 is a multi-function mechanical ICU hospital bed. Its positioning functions are operated through separate screw mechanisms rather than electric motors.

The model provides considerably more positioning flexibility than a plain ward bed or basic Semi Fowler bed because it incorporates not only backrest and knee-rest adjustment, but also Trendelenburg, Reverse Trendelenburg and variable bed height.

This combination makes the model relevant for hospitals looking for advanced mechanical positioning without requiring an electrically actuated ICU-bed system.

Key Features

M.S.

Rectangular M.S. Framework

Constructed from rectangular mild-steel tubing to form the main structural framework of the bed.

4 SEC

Four-Section Bed Platform

Four-section perforated M.S. sheet top accommodates the bed's multiple positioning functions.

BACK

Backrest Adjustment

Upper-body support can be repositioned through the corresponding manual screw mechanism.

KNEE

Knee-Rest Adjustment

The knee-rest section can be raised or lowered through its mechanical control.

TB

Trendelenburg Position

The complete patient platform can be tilted into the specified Trendelenburg position when clinically appropriate.

RTB

Reverse Trendelenburg

Reverse Trendelenburg positioning is also included in the published mechanical adjustment functions.

HI-LO

Variable Bed Height

Hi-Lo adjustment allows overall bed height to vary between approximately 60 cm and 80 cm.

ABS

ABS End Panels

Moulded ABS head and foot panels provide the bed's end-panel configuration.

RAIL

Collapsible Safety Rails

Collapsible / swing-away side rail design allows bedside access while providing a physical boundary when appropriately raised.

4 IV

Four IV Locations

Telescopic IV rod can be positioned using four published mounting locations.

125

125 mm Castors

The bed is mounted on 125 mm diameter castors for appropriate movement and repositioning.

2 BRK

Two Braked Castors

Two of the four castors incorporate brakes for stabilising the bed in its intended location.

Five Published ICU Bed Positioning Functions

The principal advantage of SKU 10005 is the range of patient-support positions available through its mechanical adjustment system.

Backrest

Raises or lowers the upper-body section of the patient platform.

Knee Rest

Adjusts the section supporting the patient's knee and lower-body area.

Trendelenburg

Tilts the bed so the head end is lower than the foot end when clinically indicated.

Reverse Trendelenburg

Tilts the bed in the opposite direction, placing the head end above the foot end.

Hi-Lo

Changes the overall bed height between the published minimum and maximum positions.

Patient positioning should be selected according to the patient's condition, clinical objective and instructions of the responsible healthcare professional. Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg are positioning functions and should not be presented as treatments by themselves.

Trendelenburg & Reverse Trendelenburg Adjustment

Unlike simpler mechanically adjustable hospital beds, SKU 10005 specifically includes Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg positioning within its published functions.

Trendelenburg

In the Trendelenburg position, the complete bed platform is tilted so that the patient's head end is lower than the foot end.

Reverse Trendelenburg

In Reverse Trendelenburg, the direction is reversed, positioning the head end above the foot end.

The current published product specification does not state the maximum Trendelenburg or Reverse Trendelenburg angle. A specific degree of tilt should therefore not be quoted unless separately confirmed by IndoSurgicals.

Independent Backrest & Knee-Rest Adjustment

The four-section patient platform allows the backrest and knee-rest sections to be repositioned according to the available mechanical controls.

Adjustable Backrest

Raising the back section supports the patient's upper body above the horizontal position when this is appropriate for care.

Adjustable Knee Rest

Knee-rest adjustment changes the configuration of the lower sections of the patient-support platform.

The maximum backrest and knee-rest angles are not published on the current SKU 10005 page and should not be assumed.

Mechanical Hi-Lo Adjustment: 60–80 cm

SKU 10005 provides mechanically adjustable bed height with a published overall range of approximately 60 cm to 80 cm.

Lower Position

The published minimum overall bed height is approximately 60 cm.

Raised Position

The published maximum overall bed height is approximately 80 cm.

Variable height can provide greater flexibility when the bed needs to be arranged for appropriate patient care, nursing access or room configuration.

Four-Section Perforated M.S. Sheet Top

The mattress-support surface consists of a four-section perforated M.S. sheet platform.

Dividing the bed deck into multiple sections allows the platform to accommodate the backrest, knee-rest and whole-bed positioning functions provided by the mechanical adjustment system.

Mattress dimensions, mattress material, thickness and inclusion are not stated on the current SKU 10005 page. These should be confirmed separately when requesting a quotation.

ABS Moulded Head & Foot Panels

The bed is supplied with ABS moulded head and foot end panels.

The moulded construction provides a formed end-panel design rather than the open tubular bows found on some general hospital-bed models.

Moulded ABS Construction

ABS end components provide the finished head and foot sections of this ICU-bed configuration.

Routine Care

ABS components should be cleaned using procedures compatible with the material and the healthcare facility's environmental-cleaning protocol.

Collapsible / Swing-Away Safety Side Rails

SKU 10005 incorporates collapsible / swing-away side railings along the patient platform.

When appropriately raised, the side rails form a physical boundary alongside the mattress. Their collapsible design allows greater bedside access when they are lowered.

The current specification describes the rails as collapsible / swing-away but does not explicitly state their construction material. For this reason, this content does not incorrectly describe them as ABS or stainless steel.

Telescopic IV Rod with Four Locations

The bed specification includes a telescopic IV rod with four mounting locations.

The additional provision points offer flexibility in selecting the IV-rod position according to patient access, room layout and the arrangement of bedside equipment.

Intravenous fluids and medications should be prescribed, administered and monitored by appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.

125 mm Castors with Two Brakes

SKU 10005 is mounted on 125 mm diameter castors to support appropriate movement and repositioning within the hospital.

Two castors are specified with brakes for stabilising the bed when it is parked in its intended location.

Mobile Bed Construction

Castors allow the bed to be moved when required for room arrangement, cleaning or patient-care requirements.

Two Braked Wheels

Two wheels include the published braking mechanism for stationary positioning.

The current product specification does not state central locking or brakes on all four castors. Those features should therefore not be claimed for this model.

ICU Bed Dimensions

210 × 90 × 60–80 cm Length × Width × Adjustable Height

The published overall dimensions of the ICU Bed Mechanical with ABS Panel and Safety Rails are 210 cm long × 90 cm wide , with an adjustable height of approximately 60 cm to 80 cm.

These dimensions can be used by hospitals, architects, distributors and procurement teams when planning critical-care bed spaces and institutional projects.

Epoxy Powder-Coated Metal Finish

The applicable metal framework is finished with epoxy powder coating, producing a consistent finished surface across the fabricated bed structure.

Cleaning and maintenance should take account of the different bed materials, including the powder-coated metal framework and moulded ABS end panels.

ICU Bed Mechanical SKU 10005 vs ICU Bed SKU 10004

The two models have similar dimensions and both use mechanically operated patient-positioning functions, but their published specifications are not identical.

SKU 10005

Includes backrest, knee-rest, Trendelenburg, Reverse Trendelenburg and Hi-Lo positioning , together with four IV-rod locations.

SKU 10004

Publishes backrest, knee-rest and Hi-Lo functions, ABS tuck-away side rails and two IV-rod locations, without Trendelenburg / Reverse Trendelenburg being listed.

This makes SKU 10005 the more appropriate model to evaluate when mechanical Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg positioning are part of the buyer's required specification.

Mechanical ICU Bed vs Electric ICU Bed

Mechanical ICU Bed

SKU 10005 uses screw-operated mechanisms for its published patient-positioning functions and does not depend on electric actuators for those movements.

Electric ICU Bed

Electric ICU beds use powered actuators and electronic controls for their specified movements, representing a different operating configuration.

The appropriate choice depends on hospital requirements, clinical workflow, available infrastructure, procurement specifications and the positioning functions required.
