Localised Adult Ovarian-Region Shielding
The shield is intended to provide external localised protection over the lower pelvic/ovarian region during applicable diagnostic X-ray procedures where patient shielding is clinically appropriate and consistent with current facility policy.
Any shield used must be positioned so that it does not obscure diagnostically important anatomy or interfere with image acquisition. Routine patient gonadal/fetal shielding should not be assumed solely because a shielding product is available.

Protect the Multilayer Shielding Core
Do not tightly fold, crush or repeatedly crease the shield. Inspect the protective body, outer covering, edge binding and tie system according to the facility's radiation-protection programme, and clean only with a compatible method.
