Choose Shield Size and Positioning for the Examination
The system includes three individual protective shields so the responsible imaging professional can select a suitable coverage size according to patient anatomy and the intended radiographic examination. The current product information lists approximate shield sizes of 4, 5 and 7 inches; it does not assign those sizes to fixed age groups.
Patient shielding should not be applied automatically. Use only where the responsible imaging team and current facility policy support it, and position the shield so diagnostically important anatomy remains visible and image acquisition is not adversely affected.

Protect the Multilayer Shielding Core
Do not tightly fold, crush or repeatedly crease the shields. Inspect the protective body, outer covering, edge binding and fastening system according to the facility's radiation-protection programme, and clean only with a compatible method.
